Frozen Fruit Margaritas

One of my coworkers and I did a virtual happy hour a couple of weeks ago and decided to make the same drink so it felt like we were together. She suggested a blended strawberry margarita and I was immediately all in. Blended margs have to be one of my favorite drinks and they’re perfect for the hot summer months!

What I like about this particular recipe is that it has a super thick consistency and doesn’t separate (thanks to the frozen fruit!). The fruit and orange liquor add enough sweetness for me but if you like things on the sweeter side, you can definitely add in agave, honey or simple syrup to taste.

I’ve been having fun playing around with different frozen fruits in this drink – my latest favorite is equal parts frozen mango, strawberry and cherry but I think I might try frozen peach + raspberry next time!

Enjoy and happy almost weekend!

  • 4 oz. tequila

  • Handful of ice cubes

  • Two lime slices, for garnish

METHOD

  1. Blend all ingredients until completely smooth. Serve in chilled glasses with lime slices.
